Rooted in Real Experience

Teleco traces its roots to 1968, when S. Thomas Tobias began in his family’s HVAC business. In 1976, responding to rising energy costs, he founded Teleco to help organizations manage usage and spend with engineering-led insight. Since then, we’ve combined hands-on field expertise with rigorous data analysis to uncover inefficiencies, recover costs, and design pragmatic solutions. History

After completing college in 1968, S. Thomas Tobias worked in the family owned HVAC business, Tobias Heating and Air Conditioning. As a result of the oil embargo and rising customer energy costs, Tom formed Teleco in 1976 while continuing his education in the relatively new field of energy management.

Since 1976, Teleco has provided energy saving solutions while helping reduce the growing demand on our country’s limited energy supply.

Since 1980, S.Thomas Tobias, Design Engineer, has been identified as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) by the Association of Energy Engineers.
